Common Reasons Your Laptop Needs to Be Repaired:

Cracked or Damaged Screen: Screen not turning on or visible crack.

  • Failing or Dead Battery: Not holding a charge or turning off when disconnected from charger.
  • Hard Drive Issues: Slow performance, clicking noises, or failure to boot.

Please stop by the Technology Help Desk window. Our team will help troubleshoot the problem or begin the repair process.

What to Do:

  • Stop Using the Device: Stop using the device to prevent any further damage.
  • Visit the Technology Office: Describe what happened and any symptoms (e.g., cracked screen, unresponsive keys, overheating).

Important Notes:

  • Do not attempt to repair the device yourself, as this may void our AppleCare warranty.
  • Report any physical damage or unusual behavior so we can diagnose the issue.

After you leave your school device at the Technology Office for repairs, here’s what you can expect regarding the timeline and updates.

What Happens Next:

  • Most AppleCare-covered repairs are completed on site at school.

  • If a replacement part is needed, we may need to order it. This can take a few days, and a loaner device will be provided if necessary.

  • You will receive email updates about your repair status and when your device is ready for pickup.

What You Can Do:

  • Check your email regularly, this is where we will send all repair updates.

  • If you haven’t received an update after a few days, feel free to stop by the Technology Office or send us a message to ask about the status.
