These instructions are for Non-Secure Print copiers. Please visit our Secure Print Online article for Secure Print copier-related troubleshooting.
Step 1: Check Your WiFi Connection
Make sure you are connected to the Kinkaid secure WiFi network.
If you are on the Kinkaid Guest network, you will not be able to print to campus printers.
To verify your connection:
Click the WiFi icon in the top-right corner of your screen.
Confirm that you are connected to Kinkaid (not Guest).
If needed, disconnect and reconnect to the correct network using this guide: Kinkaid Secure WiFi Missing.
Step 2: Check the Paper Supply
Open the tray you’re printing from and verify that it has enough paper.
If the tray is empty or incorrectly loaded, refill it and try printing again.
Additionally check the paper size to make sure the correct size is being used and printed on.
Step 3: Restart the Printer
Turn the printer off, wait about 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
Allow the printer to fully reboot before sending another print job.
If you continue to experience issues, please submit a technology help desk ticket or email us at helpdesk@kinkaid.org, and we will be happy to assist you promptly.
