Common Reasons Why Bookmarks May Be Missing
- Not signed into a Google account: If you're not logged into a Google account, the bookmarks will not appear.
- Incorrect Chrome Profile: If Chrome opened with a new or alternate profile, your usual bookmarks won’t be visible.
- Sync is turned off or not working: When Chrome Sync is disabled or experiencing errors, your bookmarks may not load across devices.
If your bookmarks are missing in Google Chrome, follow the steps below to restore them.
1: Sign Into Your Google Account
- Click Sign in to Chrome to create or switch to the correct Chrome profile.
- Sign in using your school-issued Google account credentials.

2: Turn On Sync to Restore Bookmarks
- After signing in, click your profile icon in the top-right corner again.
- Select Turn on sync...

- When prompted, click "Yes, I'm in" to confirm.

3: Verify Your Bookmarks
- Once sync is enabled, your bookmarks should reappear automatically.
- If your bookmarks are still missing, try restarting Chrome or signing out and back into your profile.
