This article covers enrollment in multi-factor authentication (MFA) for Veracross Axiom and Portal by pairing Google authenticator for access. You will need your computer and a mobile device.

If you already have the Google Authenticator app, you can skip to step #2

Step 1: Download the Google Authenticator app on your phone

  • Open the App Store on your mobile device and search for "Google Authenticator." Download the free app and return to your home screen once the installation completes.

Step 2: Navigate to Veracross on your computer and log in

If you are currently logged in, please log out.

  • Log in with your username and password

If prompted to the following screen, select "Enroll in MFA"

Otherwise you will be automatically redirected to this screen

Step 3: Register the QR Code with Authenticator

  • Open the Google Authenticator App
  • Click the "+" icon to add.

Select "Allow" if prompted for permission to access the camera

  • Select "Scan a QR code" and scan the QR from your computer webpage

  • Your phone should automatically register the QR Code and display a 6 digit code that changes every 30 seconds.

Step 4: Pair Authenticator Code with Veracross

  • Enter the code from the authenticator app in the prompt and select "Verify". The code changes every 30 seconds so it's important to be timely.

Step 5: Document your Recovery Code

  • Store your recovery code in a safe place. This will be a one time access code to allow log in if you are unable to access your phone.

  • Click the checkbox once you have stored your code and click "continue".

Your account is now set up with MFA for Veracross

Managing MFA

If you need to change or modify your MFA, you can select the "Manage Your Multi-Factor Authentication" from your account drop down menu.

This will allow you to reset your MFA (New or Lost device) and generate a new recovery code if your code is lost
